Internal Quality Assurance Cell
The IQAC at MLA Academy of Higher Learning was constituted in 2011, ahead of the first NAAC accreditation of the institution. It works as the quality sustenance and quality enhancement arm of the college, planning, reviewing and documenting every academic and administrative initiative.

How the cell was formed and the purpose it serves.
The cell was established in 2011, before the institution went through its first cycle of NAAC accreditation. Since then it has guided academic planning, the calendar of events, audits, feedback systems and the preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report.
To be a centre in enabling quality sustenance at MLA Academy of Higher Learning.
To design and implement a quality assurance system that brings organisational excellence to every part of the institution.
Quality Objectives
- Develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution.
- Promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalisation of quality culture.
- Institutionalise best practices in teaching, learning and evaluation.
- Ensure credible and transparent documentation of all academic and administrative activities.
- Build a participative environment where every stakeholder contributes to quality sustenance.
- Benchmark institutional practices against the expectations of regulatory and accreditation bodies.
- Prepare and submit the Annual Quality Assurance Report to NAAC every year.
Functions of the IQAC
- Developing and applying quality benchmarks for the academic and administrative activities of the institution.
- Facilitating a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation.
- Collecting and analysing feedback from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality related processes.
- Organising workshops, seminars and quality circles on quality related themes and promoting quality circles.
- Arranging for faculty training and orientation on quality improvement and emerging pedagogy.
- Documenting the programmes and activities that lead to quality improvement.
- Preparing the Annual Quality Assurance Report to be submitted to NAAC based on the approved quality parameters.
